Watch HDR quality videos on YouTube now, Learn about this new feature

The video streaming website YouTube has released a new update for users. HDR quality videos can now be viewed on YouTube as part of the new update. This feature was introduced in November last year. But due to lack of computable devices, it was not rolled out. However, later smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung, Google, LG and Sony started their HDR compatibility in their smartphones.

What is the new feature of YouTube?

Under this feature, the videos can now be viewed with better quality. Like photos, videos also get HDR quality. Users will get 1440 pixels (2K) resolution (maximum) 60fps video option. Assuming media reports, this feature can be made available on Google pixels, LG V30, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, Galaxy Note 8 and Sony Xperia XZ premium smartphones.

What is HDR quality?

HDR stands for High dynamic range. This improves the color of photos. If you take a photo through this mode, it captures the light more closely. This mode uses three pictures to capture photos that are captured on different exposures. After this, it is made a photo. If you want to understand it more closely, take photos with HDR mode and without HDR mode from your phone. You will see the difference clearly.
